Come out and join the fun on Monday July 4th in Pottstown...

Thousands come out for our two-hour-long parade. If you like fire trucks, old cars, floats, marching bands, string bands, and the loudest calliope you'll ever hear, this is your parade.

The Rajah Temple has two bands in our parade, the Concert Band and the String Band. You can hear the String band by clicking the link.

The famous Clydesdale Horses are coming back to the parade, and for the first time will be giving giving rides at Memorial Park that afternoon.  (Acts subject to change.)

Hendershot Ridge

It starts at the Dana Corporation, Center & Price Sts, and proceeds up Keim to High St. in Pottstown's East End at 10:15 a.m., following a four-man formation flyover, and up High St. through Historic Downtown Pottstown. Are you thirsty? The Boy Scouts and other groups sell water along the route.

Feeling Patriotic? Buy a flag for $2.00 and help the committee, or buy one of the souvenir caps for $5.00. Since 1985, the price hasn't gone up, and these collector's items go fast. Just wave down a golf cart for a hat or flag.

Hungry? Stop in for breakfast at the Goodwill Fire Company at High and Bailey Streets, or lunch on the sidewalk in front of the Moose in between Charlotte and Evans Sts., or the  Elks, caddy corner from the Borough Hall at High and York Streets.

Where to sit? If you like crowds, downtown is the place to be. If you want to enjoy the parade in the shade, you'll like it in front of the Hill School. There is no parking along the parade route. Check the URL below for FREE downtown parking lot locations.
