Weiner Gone Wildly Mobile!

One Weiner Leaner ~ A Washington Limerick

Do you remember the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile?  When I was a kid, I used to watch the commercials, having high hopes that one day I would see the weinermobile in person.  Sadly my dreams were dashed.

Today, we have a real live version of a 'Weiner Gone Wildly Mobile!'  It's a prevalent thing these days in Washington DC.  Could 'pressure cooker politics' be to blame, having created an environment that makes it virtually impossible to maintain sainthood?

Of course, there's always the possibility that those servants lost their moral compass along the trail.  I wonder if our forefathers are rolling in their graves or perhaps asking, 'Where's the beef.'  Should we be cutting our politicians some slack or eating them for lunch?

The current day weiner isn't the first to get his buns toasted in the fire... and I'm certain he won't be the last.  And with a name like that, how could we expect anything different?  Lets have a little fun this weekend!  Happy 4th everyone!

One Weiner Leaner ~ A Washington Limerick

There once was a pervert named Weiner,

Who had a conceited demeanor.

Forced from the Hill,

For acting like Bill,

Now Congress is one weiner leaner!

HA! Clever post! Yes, fun we shall have! Oh, and yes, I, too wanted to see one of those oscarmayerweiner trucks years ago, and I did one day at our public library...I was about 8---and, amazingly, still have the whistle in my jewelry box! Enjoy your holiday weekend.

Mel, very cute.  Were he to read it, he'd be a meaner wiener.

How funny, I also wrote about a Wiener dog in a different kind of "mobile" blog.

There are those few that are there to make difference, then there are those who seem to be there until they can get their book and tour deal.

It seams that if you can stand the heat for a couple of months, a good book deal and maybe a movie deal with follow!

Melinda, first of all, yes I did get to see the Wienermobile a couple of times and even have a vintage Oscar Meyer weiner whistle.  As for the current "Weiner gone wildly mobile", I don't think it has anything to do with "pressure cooker politics", but rather a defective compass.  We are all human and do or have done things that we probably know is just not right, but I don't think it's too much to expect those who represent us to be of a higher moral fiber.

No he won't be the last and I don't think we should cut them slack or eat them for lunch, however, slow roasting them over an open flame does sound gratifying.

Thanks Ted... my style can be kind of quirky at times!

I think we could start a vintage wiener whistle club here Nick!  I totally agree with your comments.  And 'slow roasting them over an open flame' made me laugh out loud.  You devil roaster!
