If there are any realtors out there along the coast or near a flood plain you may want to speak with your buyers about Flood insurance....read on...so you can help protect yourself and your clients

Please be aware that the National Flood Insurance Program will be ending in September.  If you have buyers for waterfront properties, please let them know that they will need to get their applications in to the NFIP BEFORE September 30.

Also, it has been suggested that you contact your Congressman to urge him to vote to keep the NFIP afloat (no pun intended).  For more information visit the Realtor Action Center website.  https://realtorparty.realtoractioncenter.com

I recommend to all my buyers that they purchase flood insurance , even if the lender does not require.

Homeowners insurance will not in a lot of cases cover water damage.
