Rain Camp Comes to Denver. Don't we wish?!!!
Last week, Rain Camp was held in Seattle. The fifth anniversary/birthday bash was held during Rain Camp at the Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown Seattle. Our sweet Kerrie at ActiveRain came up with the brilliant idea of a contest, having locals tell her where THEY would have held the fifth birthday gathering if it had been held in their City. Prize for entering the Contest? Your name will be entered into a drawing to give away 20 of the limited edition coffee tumblers that were left at the end of Rain Camp. But much more so than telling about where to hold a birthday bash, I would love to tell AR why they should hold a Rain Camp in Denver.
Easily accessible by planes, trains and automobiles, Denver Colorado is considered a hub for many major Cities. It is pretty accessible from Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Idaho, South Dakota, and much more, if one chose to drive. There are many, many venues that would work for a gathering such as Rain Camp. One that I have enjoyed is the Denver PPA Event Center. But as I thought about it, with so many people that would come from out of town, it should also be somewhere that people could actually stay as well, so a hotel with convention capabilities should work. Along
those lines, the Marriott Denver Tech Center as a viable option. Easily accessible from all parts of Denver and surrounding areas, right off of I-25, and in the heart of the Denver Tech Center, this facility would fulfill many needs of such a 'traveling show.'
The location of many conventions and gatherings, the Marriott Denver Tech Center was recently host to Inman's Agent Reboot. There is a large Rocky Mountain Event Center convention hall that seats hundreds, and the
accommodations of the Marriott are inviting. In addition to the large central meeting hall, there are individual 'classrooms' that have electrical outlets at each station, and that are set up for presentations with podium and screens.
The hotel is surrounded with dozens of restaurants and cafes, but it also has eating facilities inside of the hotel so that you would never have to leave if that were your choice. It has pool facilities and an exercise room for those of you who would have a hard time to be parted from yours for a few days. Like to shop? There is Park Meadows Mall just across the Interstate, and opening this month, IKEA will be within shouting distance. In addition, there are many area attractions and day-outings nearby.
A pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, the Marriott Denver Tech Center in Denver Colorado would be an excellent choice for Rain Camp. Hope to see you soon . . .
