Are you looking for a way to stay cool this summer in Southwest Louisiana? There is no need to travel to visit the Texas Schlitterbahn Waterpark we have our own claim to fame right here in Sulphur, LA with the Sulphur Acquatic Center. People from all over are traveling to Sulphur to visit the Sulphur Parks and Recreation Aquatic Center’s water park.

SPAR offers a variety of cool, wet attractions — water slides, a lazy river, a splash pad, a splash and play island and concessions. Admission is $4 for Sulphur residents with an ID and $6 for everyone else.
The most popular rides are the body and tube slides and there is a new Twisted Serpent body slide. Park administators report that the park hosts 500-1000 people a day but with the spread of various pools, slides the crowd is manageable.
SPAR offers a free swim 8-9 am on Saturdays so the water park is affordable and enjoyable for everyone to experience.
