Just had a birthday last week. I love birthdays, it doesn't matter how old I get (54 now), I still feel 12 again each one. I think it's one special day that everyone gets. It's not about the gifts you get, (I got a paperback book "Heaven Is For Real" and a Packer Super Bowl hat ooooweee!) it's just about remembering the anniversary of the day the good Lord decided and placed us here. For such a time as this.
I firmly believe that we are in the end times. That doesn't mean the end of the world is coming, just the end of an age. Our children are going to see the most amazing transformation happen in this world... we may or may not. The point is we were put here for this time, probably the most important time of all times. That makes us some of the most valuable spirits ever created and we've got to start believing that. All wisdom and power and knowledge is ours for the asking. It's been written that my parents generation was the greatest ever because of the depression and WW2, I believe Tom Brokaw spoke too soon. Not to take anything away from all they did, I believe as we all should that my children's generation is the greatest and will be proved out in years to come.
So here's my birthday cake from this year, yup, 54 candles... don't let Al Gore see this, he'd have a heart attack counting up the carbon footprint after lighting them and blowing them out, which only took one breath yet.
Here's to you and your birthday whenever it is! Don't lament the age or the years or the wrinkles, celebrate the day the Creator of all things decided was your day! He knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb and has great plans for each of you! CELEBRATE LIFE!! Shalom!
