No they did NOT sell their house because they were LUCKY! Luck has nothing to do with it at all. When I went to them to do the listing presentation we had a long discussion about what it would take to sell. The number one thing people are looking for is a price that competitive to the market at this time. The second thing I told my sellers is that the house needed to be clean at all times and uncluttered. So after we set a fair price and addressed cluttering issues we went on and spoke about deferred maintenance. Much trouble was taken with this house to prepare it for sale. The price was appropriate. The house was immaculately clean at all times. All clutter such as pictures and knick- knacks was stuffed in a box in a storage unit as well as some excess furniture. All deferred maintenance was fixed in advance of having to be asked. That leaky sink is gone as well as that broken sidewalk square out by the street. Doesn’t it look beautiful!
Your house is $10,000 overpriced to start off with. There is so much clutter in there that it looks like a episode of Hoarders. I almost broke my neck going up your front steps due to the fact that they are broken and crooked. When was the last time you cleaned Fluffy's litter box. The smell is overpowering! Here is a picture of the outside of your home.
Can you see where I am going here? Selling a house is about much more then sticking the sign out in the front yard! So quit making excuses and buck up! Also in the future you might want to take your dog out of the home during showings. I am fairly sure he might have gotten to second base with me the day I went through with my buyers when he stuck his snout up my skirt. Shudder….shiver….yuck!
Have a nice Independence Day Everyone! And if anyone needs a Realtor in the Sioux Falls area I would love to help you out!
