The Rio Del Mar and Seascape areas of Aptos consist of coastal as well as serene hillside tree setting. Rio Del Mar is primarily set on the bluffs with many homes overlooking the Monterey Bay. The Rio Del Mar flats is home to the popular Rio Del Mar State Beach. Rio Del Mar is also the home to the Aptos Seascape Golf Course. 
Seascape is a quiet bedroom community and also home to the Seascape Resort, Seacape Sports Club, and the popular restaurant Palapas. During the first half of 2011 the average sales price in Rio Del Mar and Seascape was $736,000 with 50 homes reported sold. Sold prices ranged from a low of $165,000 to a high of $3,308,000.
