Come Celebrate an Old-Fashioned Fourth of July in Stowe, Vermont!
For such a small town, Stowe loves to put on a great Fourth of July Celebration. This year's events include:
10:00 a.m. - The Moscow Parade - Moscow Village's "very local" event with marching music, the Ladies Lawn Chair march, floats, Stowe Fire and Rescue vehicles. Be early. It's a short parade! Here's a slide show of last year's parade:
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Old-Fashioined Village Festival - Celebrate with street performers and musicians. Face painting, caricature artests, and bouncy house for the kids. Dunking booth featuring local dignitaries, festive food and loads of fun! Visit stowevibrancy.com for more information.
11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Seven Miles of Sales - Fabulous July 4th sales in the Village and along the Mountain Road.
Noon - The Stowe "World's Shortest Marathon" - join the 1.7 mile Fun Run. Starts at the intersection of Routes 100 & 108. Open to all comers!
12:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Co-Ed Softball one Pitch Tournament - Rally a team or we'll find one for you. Team format: 5 guys and 5 girs. Sign up with Stowe Parks & Rec.
4:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Soccer Fest - Show what you got! 4 v 4, for all ages, Sign up with Stowe Parks & Rec.
6:00 p.m. to Dark - Food, Fun, Friends & FIREWORKS at The Mayo Farm Events Field - Games and food for the family, with spectacular fireworks at dusk! Face painting, balloons, BBQ, kids carnival games, ice cream, Bouncy House, Pedestal Joust, hay rides, Touch-a-Truck, popcorn, cotton candy and more!
