Real Estate Agents only have 2 jobs

Real Estate Agent with Realty ONE Group CalBRE# 01245463

I heard this the other day, and when I thought about it, it made perfect sense.

As real estate agents, we only have 2 jobs: 1) Prospecting 2) Overcoming Objections

As long as you are able to master these two job functions, you will have a successful career in this business.

Patrick I believe "1) Prospecting 2) Overcoming Objections" are more related to selling skills than a job description.

My choices for 1 & 2 are:

  1. Listing houses
  2. Selling houses

Eveything else revolves around that

This is definitely "Which came first the chicken or the egg" type of question.  Can you get those listings and those sales without prospecting and overcoming objections?  How can you master prospecting and overcoming objections without having listings or sales?

Very nice Renee! You are only able to list and sell homes by coming in contact with suspects, then making them prospects and turning them into clients.

You typically have to overcome objections to turn them into clients from being prospects.
