I had three appointments before lunch today--the real estate market in Palos Verdes is hotter than a firecracker this 4th of July weekend. I actually had a call from a client asking if he HAD to wait until he has a pre-approval letter from his lender before writing an offer. You have to love an anxious buyer!

The activity is coming from various fronts. A luxury lease in Palos Verdes was finalized today. First-time home buyers are writing an offer tomorrow and the sale of a past client's million dollar plus home is awaiting final acceptance of counter offer No. 5---and the weekend is just getting started. On Monday it appeared the weekend would be appointment free...assumptions can be so misleading, especially in the real estate business.

My office is deserted and as the sole agent at work today I'm reminded how fickle this business can be. Sometimes it comes in spurts, other times there is a long, dry spell. Some agents are super busy, others wait for their business to pick up. There is great uncertainty in working in sales, but there is also great satisfaction in helping people realize their real estate goals. This weekend I'm not off enjoying the holiday but I am busy making dreams come true. How very lucky I am!
