My best shots are those that I have no taken. When I do not have my camera with me, that's when the best photo ops are happening. Yesterday it looked gloomy, but there was no rain, and I figured that there was no reason to take a camera with me.
My nearly 11-yo grandson is with us this week. We took a short drive to the closest park a half mile from us, and when I got out of a car, I saw that the ocean was just beautiful. The water was the color of steel and there was no horizon, the sun popped from heavy clouds with just a few minutes before sinking into the horizon and cast its light onto the sand...
But the camera was at home. We jumped back into the car, drove back, grabbed the camera, came back and in about 10 minutes later I had a camera in my hand and I was standing right there... but the sun has got lower and the beach was darker. When you are close to sunset, the colors and lights are changing very quickly...So, here is not exactly what was when I did not have the camera.
Nice warm evening...like so many others. That's why I love Florida, and I enjoy living in Daytona Beach Shores
