I don't know about anyone else, but constraint, restriction or limitation sure doesn't sound like much fun to me. We all need freedom to roam about and do what makes us feel well and happy (so long as we're not infringing on somebody else's happy thing). Independence Day or as we have come to call it, the Fourth, is about we American's celebrating shedding the restrictions of our freedoms.
Even though America has been an independent nation now for 235 years, we must always be vigilant of restrictions on our freedoms, for it is an unending process. Every one of us can and should look out for our neighbors.
My job as a home inspector is to look out for my clients. Yes I am paid to do so, but as with any task, it my personal decision, my freedom of choice that decides how well I perform that task. Extend that ethic to every day life and we are all the keepers of our own, as well as our neighbor's independence.
The men who founded this country saw inequity in how their neighbors we being treated. They spoke out, they organized, and they fought for what they felt was right.
It's not about fireworks, it's not about, barbeques, it's not about driving a Hummer, to me freedom is about listening to the wind murmur through the cottonwood trees....
