Ah, July 4th. They day that we are required to crank up the grill, whip up the potato salad, slice into some watermelon and enjoy the day with friends and family. If you're in Tucson and looking for something to do, here's a small list of what's going on:
*The Tucson Padres - our triple A Baseball team - will be taking on the Reno Aces. After the game there will be a fireworks show. The gates will open at 5:30 pm and the first 5,000 fans will receive a free coupon for a McDonald's apple pie. A KRAFT Singles Block Party starts at 5:30 pm and goes until 7:00 pm and will feature a meet and greet with everyone's favorite friar, the Kino Bambino.adres will face the Reno Aces in the "Triple-A Baseball Star Spangled Spectacular" followed by a professional fireworks show.

-The 15th annual A Mountain fireworks show will begin around 9:15pm. If you're planning on going up the hill, access will be restricted on Monday and Tuesday. You'll be able to see the show from pretty much anywhere - Convention Center is a good place to go.
-The UA Centennial Hall is home to "Let Freedom Sing" at 3pm. Admission is free. Click here for more information
There are so many events going on around Tucson - it's hard to list them all. Chances are one is happening in your neighborhood! Just remember - NO FIREWORKS ARE ALLOWED within Tucson's city limits or in Pima County. We don't need anymore wildfires. Take the family out and enjoy one of the professional shows. They're always spectacular!
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!
