Just had to share this beautiful video with you all. Hope you all had a beautiful 4th of July Weekend! This video is not by me it is by a gentleman named Fred Margulies. I found this on a cool little website called Vimeo. Just click on the birdy!
Wow you really captured that bird. I hope your 4th was filled with happiness.
That was the coolest video ever!!
Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
Wow. How did you do that fast forwarding through that 4 week time period.
I love how all the young birds eventually left the nest and the mother bird came back with a worm and no one was home any more!
Rosalie, what a fun link to share. I have to commend the momma robin for choosing a great location for the home. Interesting to see her final return not knowing the kids had left the roost. Worms are pretty nourishing for them it appears.
It looks like mom had a genuine case of "empty nester" syndrome at the end! Great vid!
Rosalie, That really was awesome. I will be showing this to quite a few people. It is beautiful! Thank you. Happy 4th of July, hope yours was great.
Great video and touching too. Makes a good parable for the parent child relationship in all species.
Thanks Rosalie--it was a really cute video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Ralph- It is an awesome video isn't it. I know I was particularily blow away by it because I am a bird watcher.
Kevin- I know it inspired me to hang out some of those hanging baskets! What kind of cracks me up is how rough she is about stuffing that worm down their mouths!
SaraMana- Oh I remember empty nest syndrome! My mother had that and would call seventeen times a day to check on me. Here I am with my teenager and I am kind of looking forward to it some days!
Kathleen- Share away I know I have!
Maya- Thanks for stopping by! What I noticed is that when momma was feeding them and feeding them, and they were all demanding, she almost seemed annoyed and then when they left she seemed sad! Can birds show emotion??
Valerie- Thanks for stopping by! Fred has some other nice work on Vimeo too but this was the only nature themed one.
That video is amazing! I think most of us parents can relate in some way to the mama bird.... I hope my son at least says goodbye before leaving the nest ;0) So glad you shared this little masterpiece with all of us!
Amy- Most days I would want my girl to say goodbye but then there are those days that I want to shove her out the door. Parenthood has taught me that the one you want to hold most closely can also be the one you want to strangle later!
Rosalie, I love it! Vimeo really has some good stuff! Hey, I'm going to do a post on "linking" and will email it to you when it's done. Next time you can link the Picture to the site and the readers can just click on the picture. Call me if you want me to walk you through it! :)
Connie- Thanks so much for the blog because I was not sure how to link! I will definately watch for it and if I don't get it I will give you a ring!
Rosalie, I posted it a little while ago. Follow the link to Using Photos too. Hopefully they'll both be useful to you!
Connie-Did you?! Here I thought I had found something fresh and new!HaHa. That's Life! Thanks for the link I will go and check it out!
