Who is the Most Awesome Person Today?
My Version of ActiveRain's Daily "Member Spotlight" (Part XV)
It's that time of the week again folks!
As promised, I've decided to make 2011 a year in which I introduce you, my dear readers, to a Rainer who you might not know, but probably should.
ActiveRain posts a "Member Spotlight" in their "Daily Drop" newsletter. This is my version...
For this week's post, that person is ActiveRain's very own:
Now I know that each and every one of you know Lenn. After all she is only one of the most prolific bloggers here in the Rain, one of only thirteen million plus point achievers, and one of the most knowledgeable Realtors I've ever come across.
It was only a matter of time that she was to be featured in my "Most Awesome Person of the Week" series.
That time has come!
Let me jump right in and share some facts about Lenn with you:
As of this post, Lenn has posted 3,113 blogs, was featured 383 times, and is currently ActiveRain's #2 points leader.
And now for some things that even Lenn didn't know about Lenn...
From what I've been lead to believe, Lenn is a few days older than I am. So, she's seen it all! And, much like many people in our line of work, Lenn wasn't always the successful Virginia AND Maryland Broker/ Realtor that she is today.
In fact, Lenn's first job was testing water skis for the ACME Corporation in Loudoun County, Virginia.
It was there that a young fashion designer discovered Lenn and just knew she was to be the next model for his stunning line of "Maryland Crab" hats...
Well, needless to say, Lenn did a wonderful job modeling these hats. But the public, for whatever reason, just didn't take to this fashion forward look.
Lenn found herself out of work.
But, like George Washington before her, Lenn is a born leader.
And it wasn't long before she was making money again.
But here's where the "facts" get a little fuzzy my friends.
The story that's been passed on from generation to generation is that Lenn had some sort of "interaction" with a man named John Davidson. He was so enamored by Lenn, that when he eventually started his motorcycle company, he named it... Lenn Harley Davidson.
The inaugural motorcycle by this newly formed company was the "Lenn", a limited edition motorcycle featuring Lenn on the gas tank.
After this brief, but memorable "interaction" with Mr. Davidson, and a few cross country rides on her new "Lenn", Lenn found her true calling... helping people in the Loudoun County, VA region buy and sell homes.
The rest, as the story goes, is history!
Anyway folks, if you aren't already subscribed to Lenn's blog you need to go and do that right now. We'll wait. (insert Jeopardy theme here as we wait for you to return.)
I haven't had the opportunity to meet Lenn...yet. But I look forard to that opportunity.
I respect Lenn, I enjoy her posts, and I consider Lenn Harley my friend.
And, because she's my friend, Lenn gets to wear the "Craig Rutman Lucky Sweater" this week!
