If there's anything that throws me off my game, it's a short work week. Yes, despite being a Realtor®, which to some means I must be available every day of the week, I do pirmarily work Monday-Friday. That's because I list and sell a lot of Northern Virginia Short Sales.
Monday and Tuesday are my bank and cooperating agent communication days. So when I lose one to a holiday, I am off balance all week. All that Monday and Tuesday stuff is crammed into Tuesday...IF....there is nothing else going on to disrupt the workflow.
Well, this holiday weekend left a trail of work to do exactly that. Started off with a walkthrough on a new construction that will settle next Monday and a settlement of a Haymarket listing. Those two items took up nearly my entire work day.
My latest Bristow Short Sale that hit the market July 4th in Victory Lakes is officially under contract. That means papework.
Another Bristow listing has finally got an offer that will likely ratify this week. More paperwork.
A Haymarket Short Sale in Piedmont was re-evaluated and priced reduced today by $30,000. It's now priced at $319.000 from $349,000. That's what you have to do when you need to sell in a specific and tight time frame...be the best conditon at the best price. And that's what we are now. More paperwork in the form of offers expected soon.
My Alexandria Short Sale co-listed with Susan Haughton just dumped a ton of paperwork in my lap this week. Funny how everything uncorked all at once at that one. Thank God Susan has a great sense of humor and is easy to work with.
Finally, Short Sale Approval came in today on a Bristow Short Sale in Kingsbrooke. That sets off all types of activity with the Second Trust.
I'll be back on track by Friday. Until then, here's to late nights playing catch up.
