Wordless Wednesday: A Waterfall Scene

I took this picture when I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Seattle...Since it was my first trip out to the West Coast (other than California), they wanted me to see as much of the northwest as possible so we drove through Oregon.  This is a picture that was taken in one of the National forests in Oregon.  I actually ended up having it printed on canvas, framed it, and gave it to my mother for Christmas.

Cindy, my aunt and uncle actually have a huge picture window that has a view of Mt. Ranier...I could sit there and take it in for hours on end!  It makes you feel at peace...

Thank you Evelyn, yes I find beauty in the simplest of things.  Funny how that happens as we get older, huh?  ;o)

Tammy she did like it.  Amazing how it turned out on canvas.  It looks like a painting!

Dawn, it definitely was awesome there.  It was chilly, but there's something so calming about the sound of water.

Myrl, Thank you.  It was amazing.  That's why I took the picture while someone was on the bridge...Just wanted to put into perspective how HUGE that waterfall was in comparison!

Jane, my mother did like it.  It was different from the usual "stuff"...

Hi Chanda, what a terrific shot, you captured the movement of the water perfetly.  I think it's one of those photos that deserves to be on canvas - just beautiful!

Thank you Mary.  I wouldn't mind framing one of these shots for myself either...I'm just too cheap to do it! It's definitely not something that costs a couple of bucks.

Is that Multnomah falls in the Columbia River Gorge? Looks like it...about 30 minutes east of Portland.

Debb, that sounds vaguely familiar...We covered about a 1,000 miles in the course of about 3 days...I was lucky we got to stop for this one!  :)

That’s gorgeous, Chanda. No wonder why you had it framed, except that I think I would have kept it for myself! lol
