Is your landlord a lunatic?

By
Industry Observer

He may be a lunatic, but he's got you making his mortgage payment every month.  Your landlord understands the value of home ownership.  That's why he owns your home, and he's getting rich in the process.  He may be crazy, but he sure isn't stupid, is he?

Interest rates continue to remain low, and home prices are as attractive as they have been in at least a decade.  Now is the time to pursue options including whether a new home makes sense for your individual situation.  Start with a free home buying strategy session.  If you have about an hour and a half, and if you don't live too far from my Eagan office, why not invest the time (and no money) learning a few things that will help you decide whether you should fire the landlord?  Our country celebrated its independence a few days ago.  Maybe it's your turn now.  Call to arrange a convenient time for us to get together.

Hi Mike - Very catchy title!  But your post makes perfect sense, and anyone who can qualify should at least consider buying, and building their own equity instead of their landlord's.

Hey Mike ~ those are words of wisdom.  I remember my dad saying stuff like that when I was growing up.

Funny title but solid words. I say this constantly to those who are looking for a first home, move up buyers or investment properties and not buying now are crazy!!!!

50yr affordability highs with low prices excellent rates and good income levels add up to NOW is the time for action as prices are already (as rates) starting to inch back up...

It wont be long

More opinions than you want to hear about.

Susan, agreed.  Also, everyone should consider painting their walls whatever color they want and owning a dog, and...

Dawn, all my dad ever told me was to go into real estate.  He's probably holding back on all the other words of wisdom until I grow up))

David, only really incompetent investors are not taking action now.  First time and move up buyers with the means should always buy as soon as possible.  Nobody's getting any younger, and there's no do-overs.
