I was born and Raised in Columbia Mo and just love the area I am in. I attended elementary school at Parkade elementary, Jr High at Jefferson Jr and High School at David H. Hickman High School. After High School I attended college In Laramie Wyoming. I had decided at an early age that Mid Missouri was were I was going to stay and raise my family. So going to college out of state from Columbia Mo was my best chance to experience something different for a while. Up in Wyoming my hobbies involved only two activities. But I enjoyed them to the fullest! In the winter I went skiing and in the summer I went fly fishing.
As much fun as I was having out there I still missed home. The distinct four seasons, and the beautiful springs and falls. Growing up in Columbia Mo you get used to liking a season but only for a little while because you get ready for the next one always around the corner.
That of course wasn’t my only reason for moving back to Columbia Mo. My wife Katy, I would have to say wins the prize for that honor. We met while I was 19 and she was 17 we have been together for 7 years and married for 3 of them. We are also the proud parents of a young son Logan who turned one in July. And yes for those of you who are from Columbia Mo he is a Boone baby along with me and my wife:)
I worked at Machens in Columbia Mo for around 7 years before I decided to pursue a career in real estate. I made a lot of lifetime friends there and still visit on a regular basis. It’s hard for me to go a whole week without hearing the grumpy grow lings of some of the older mechanics that I worked with. They disapproved of a lot but had a lot more to teach. One of my best teachers in early life were my bosses from Ron Belche to David Fanning and Gary Drewing Him self. Watching Gary run that company you knew that what made him successful was not his ability to sell but his ability to be honest and genuinely care about the Columbia Mo Community. In order to be successful you must believe in your customer. Listen, be fair and helpful, and above all do no harm. The Community gives to you. So it is the up most importance that you give back. I am excited to be able to transfer what I learned at Machens and apply it to the real estate community.
Not to mention my technical expertise when it comes to online marketing. While at Machens I also ran a merchant site online for about two years called showmewatches.com In that time I learned a lot about graphic design, web development, and above all how to truly market on the Internet! All of these things come in handy when listing and selling a house. Exposure is key and always will be. Continuing education is also important to me as well. I have completed two courses so far towards my Graduate of The Realtor Institute Training
