Incentive Marketing Real Estate
I have been putting a lot of thought into incentive marketing in Real Estate over the past few days.
Incentive marketing: The You Versus Me.
I have been working with some telephone scripts for my Real Estate clients. I am a Virtual Assistant. Most of what I do is done behind the comfortable shield of a computer screen.
Picking up the phone and calling someone whom you don’t know is no easy task. Scripts are very helpful, but a script can be kind of like a security blanket, much like that computer screen sheild.
What I have found throughout this process, is that incentive marketing is most effective. Calling with something to offer a prospective client (even if it is to invite them to an open house, or notify them of a price reduction, etc.) seems to hold people's interest more than informing them of your vast abilities.
This applies through all of your marketing techniques... Whether someone is finding you via your website, your blog, a phone call, a mail piece, or any other means in which you market your Real Estate business... The interested prospect most likely wants and/or needs something. They have heard countless individuals or teams praising their own abilities.
So what can we give them? What’s in it for them? What can we as professionals deliver?
We have to give our prospective clients something. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something of monetary value (and probably shouldn’t). Information and networking are some of the most valuable “gifts” you can offer your clients, past, current, or future…
Businesses: A plug on your blog, a featured partner on your website, etc.
Homeowners: Invite them to join your community facebook page to connect with other local residents and get relevant local information, inform them of your blog, where you post local events and happenings, let them know that you have a terrific website for all of their real estate needs, pick up that phone and invite them to your open house on Sunday...
There is a delicate balance between You Versus Me, which we should all try to embrace. Using a few incentive marketing techniques may just help help you shift the balance from "me" to "you" in your Real Estate marketing efforts.
If there is anything I can offer you to enhance your online presence, I would be happy to help. If I have simply helped you with a few tips that help you better your business, then I have succeeded as well.
