Musical Video: Tarara Winery Family Friendly Summer Concerts. Loudoun County Vineyards

Tarara Winery Leesburg VA

Tarara Winery just north of Leesburg Virginia off route 15 at Lucketts is a great place to visit day or night. Although we have yet to visit every Loudoun County winery, Tarara is one of our favorites.

First Tarara has a beautiful setting of mature trees, meadows and ponds...a great place to let the weekly tension evaporate. Second, they have put much thought into planning events that the community can enjoy. And they have built relationships with local food producers and have co-operative showcases that support the neighborhood growers. Not a bad way to run a business eh?
Tarara Winery Leesburg VA
During the day you can enjoy winery tours and tastings as you stroll around the rolling  475 acre farm that stretches along the Potomac River.

Enjoy the view of Sugarloaf mountain across the river in Maryland as you enjoy a glass of wine with friends on the shaded deck.

When night falls on Saturdays, you can head up to the vineyard's concert venue over looking the lake, from June through Oct 1 from 6-9:30. You can check out the musical line-up right here: http://www.tarara.com/Bands.

Jerry, I hope you got out and about in that historic area of the state...or headed to the beach. Ft. Lee can be HOT this time of year. Come on back ...we'll leave the porch light on for you.

Thanks Ginny, photgraphy, which started out as just a listing tool has been evolving into a blogging avenue and a hobby. It is easy to make good photos if there is such great subject matter :-)

Michael, thanks.... this week I learned how to take sound out of the video tracks and add my own. So much to know!

Bliz, Thank you...I hope to keep improving my video editing skills. I think this is the first one I have done that mixed stills and video clips within the body of the show. It took a while to get the transitions and music right.

Nice posting!  I need to learn how to be able to get fonts and colors.  I seem to be lacking that knowledge.  Nice photos and video.  Great job.  Hmmm...I have a lot of work to do.  How do you change the fonts if you don't mind me asking??

Thanks you Anna, there is so much beauty where we all live that it is a pleasure to try and capture it.

Bill, Loudoun County is becoming the Napa Valley of the east. I am so glad that there is an economically viable way to make this beautiful land pay. Standard farming does not pay the bills here anymore. It takes a lot of creativity and public interaction now.

Richie, we have been so busy that we have been neglecting the small pleasures. Were trying to have more fun now :-)

Pamela, thank you. This is an easy place to like. Just point the camera in any direction and you've got a great shot.

Thank you Sandi, you can still move here you know. We do not have earthquakes...well only really litle ones...rarely.

Pretty funny Andrew. You are the king of word smithery...and YES the opening face shot makes me look like I just crawled out of a barrel.

Hi Suzanne #12,

Most of the folks you see on Active Rain or other blog sites, who have different font colors and types are writing their posts in free downloadable programs, then transferring that finished product to AR.

The one I use is called Kompozer. Another popular one is Scribefire. It takes a while to learn all this stuff.

Much of what I know comes from Active Rain. Also anytime you want to know something just Google the question. I Googled: “ how do I use Sscribefire to blog in AR”. Here is what I got: http://bradsdomain.com/how-to-use-scribefire-to-enhance-your-activerain-blog-posts/

You will learn all this stuff. It just takes time. This is my second year of blogging and I have been studying video editing for months :-) ...but then I am old ...you will pick this stuff up faster.

Thanks Cindy, as you have also written...our area is just full of natural and man made beauty with inumerable opportunites to be outside or inside really enjoyable and historic places.

Hammers team, come on down. It's only 3.5 hours. Oh and hey, our well known suburb of Washington DC also has things to see and do.
