Second hand stores; Ballard life navigation tool

Hey Everyone!

I live in Ballard WA, a small Norwegian town that can definitely hold it's own.

Most of my days in Ballard bring me to the Locks, or maybe Golden Gardens. Most of those days are spent with nieces and nephews to play with the Jakesters my 5 year old son.

Occasionally, weather permitting we hit the pool. Of course a majority of the time my little loved ones aren't pool ready. This is what brought me to the most incredible children's second hand store Me N' Mom's. This place had everything I needed, affordable!

Second Hand Stores

I don't expect my sisters and friends to know what I'll be getting into during the day, as most of my plans get changed due to weather, so this second hand store right around the corner has come through again and again.

As a mom its hard for me to spend my money on brand new clothes for my fun loving little mess maker, and even harder to do it for a seasonal necessity for his cousins.

So if i need a hat, rain-coat, swim trunks or any other necessity I know where I can get them...cheap!

If you have gotten past nap times and juice boxes but not quite ready for geriatric tan sneakers, you might find yourself at The Buffalo Exchange. This is a partially second hand store focused on teens through 30's men and women's fashion.

Common brands you can find at Buffalo are Banana Republic, Forever 21, Rock and Republic, Seven and I have even seen Gucci and Marc Jacobs!

So if your shoe heel breaks while you're out in Ballard before 7pm or right before the family photo at the locks a shirt gets dirty these two places are great tools for navigating life's little clothing mishaps.

Emily! Emily here... Nice to meet you! :) I'm a big fan of second hand stores.. you never know what you're gonna get! We have a chain called Value Village here (or pronounced Volu-vilaj *must say with a french accent*)! Kind of fun! That reminds me - I need to go to find some old doilies - I'm having the urge for a craft day - I want to make one of these!

So cool - right?? I know...

Second hand stores are awesome!
