It's amazing how many people have errors on their credit reports. My first encounter was when I was about 19, and bought some tires on credit. They told me they were going to do it, but I had an unpaid bill from a record company. Hmmm. Never bought anything from a record company. That one just took a call to clear up, but nowadays people have some serious problems, and the only way to get back in the good graces of loan approval people is to get someone professional to tackle the moster. You just have to be very careful about who you get, since many of them overcharge and underdo.
I would suggest to take advantage of free credit check now almost bank offers to monitor your credit.
