What a great weekend we just had - beautiful weather - a bike ride with my dad - and to top it off, a great building inspection that resulted in a firmed up sale! Congratulations to my very happy buyers! You guys are gonna love it!!
The West End was good to me this weekend, that's for sure!!
For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of visiting Vancouver (yet!) - let me tell you about our West End. Located on the downtown pinisula, it's bordered by our downtown area on one side, Stanley Park on the other, and surrounded by water on the other sides. I love it here! It's filled with low rise buildings (many that are 100+ years old), big trees, and a feeling of calm that one doesn't usually find in a big city.
The West End is a short walk to Robson Street (GREAT SHOPPING) - Davie Street (A very open minded community) - Denman Street (Shops and Restaurants and THE place to watch our Fireworks Competition and the Pride Parade in the last week of July.
This weekend - my Papa (Yes, I call him Papa, don't make fun!) and I had the pleasure of taking our first bike ride together around Stanley Park. Stanley park is a 1,001 acres (Useless trivia fact here - it's 10% bigger than New York's Central Park). It's beautiful - I LOVE this bike ride - although this weekend was a little too busy for my liking - there was a music festival going on as well so the park was bustling!!
I decided to get a bit of it on video - I was making my Dad nervous holding my phone up while I was biking so I had to stop... but here's a little bit of our bike ride - as well as our quick break to watch this amazing artist, Kent Avery who balances rocks. He's kind of famous in Vancouver... very cool stuff!
I hope you enjoy my first little video... thought I had to share this beautiful city with you! Come for a visit!!
