Many of my clients are Buyers who have either retired or are just looking for a good Vacation Home. Some have recently relocated to this area. When I ask them what they are looking for, they will tell me size, amount of bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. What they neglect to tell me is a little about themselves and their LIFESTYLES.
Why are LIFESTYLES so important when looking for a home? Here are just a few reasons why this is so important in our Palm Springs, California Desert area:
• Our desert is comprised of (9) cities, all close to one another. Three cities offer a great discount rate for residents who are avid golfers (Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and La Quinta). So living in one of these cities can be very advantageous if you are a golfer. Avid golfers are buying homes in Palm Springs.
• If a Buyer is into Tennis, there are several well-known country clubs offering top-notch tennis facilities. A tennis membership can be purchased separately from a golf membership, which is quite a bit more in a private club.
• There are also some great Hiking Trails for those who enjoy Hiking and Biking.

• I like to find out the buyer’s age, because I then can direct them to an area where they might find others their same age group. Those with young children might like neighborhoods where there are other children to socialize with. Those 55+, many enjoy a Senior Development with lots of activities.

Choosing a neighborhood or community with a LIFESTYLE attractive to those who are buying, is just as important, if not more important, than selecting a new home. After all, finding new friends and neighbors with similar LIFESTYLES to yours is “key” to finding happiness in beautiful Palm Springs California where Buyers can always enjoy summer all winter long!
