"walking on egg shells?"

Legal Advice? What's Up With That?!!!
Call an attorney? Get legal advice ASAP? Don't do or say another thing until you consult with an attorney?

Ya know folks..........I'm so over hearing all these "walking on egg shells" comments everytime someone asks a question with a little legalese in the mix. Truth be known? You don't always have to run to an attorney everytime you stub your toe on your neighbors threshold.

Come on! Suck it up a little. Can't you just do a little research on your own before you plunk down a Grand for the privilage of talking to an attorney before he/she tells you they will need at least  another 10k to take your case?

And what will that get you? The opportunity to NEGOTIATE or PLEA your case? Something that you probably could have done on your own had you had a little huts-bah.
I'm referring to Real Estate foreclosures & short sales primarily. Don't be afraid to consult with a knowledgeable and expereicned RE professional before you plunk down all that money. And guess what? It won't cost you a dime and it may even end up saving you a lot of time, money and effort.

I just signed up for legal insurance fund for business. 50.00 a month and it also covers my children in school up to age 23! Car accidents, letters written, phone calls, legal advise and court representation for all things. Also tax audits. Cheap in the long run, but I would not be without it especially in this business!

People are cautious tip toeing into asking for legal advice cause they know that money meter starts running. I wish the real estate industry had that same business model John.

Diane and Gary, Thanks for your comments. However, the point I was trying to make was that a lot of RE professionals have a vast amount of inate knowledge from just good ole street savvy, everyday, hands on experience. If buyers and sellers of distressed properties just talked to RE professionals before seeking costly legal advice they might be surprised how many answers said professionals may have that are absolutely free and not necessarily legal advice. Just knowledge and information.
