Wordless Wednesday: " Not Many Things Get To Me..."

There are not many things that get to me, however today is a tough one. Many of my customers, friends and co-workers know Bill and I have four wonderful dogs. Well today, we had to put our oldest a shiztu/poodle "Rambo" to sleep today. He has showered me with unconditional love for thirteen long years. He was by my side through thick and thin...always with a warm heart, wet nose and wagging tail. Then when I married Bill eight years ago, he wasn't so sure. However within a few weeks they became best buds.Today he was having such a tough day, we knew it was time. Wow...that was much harder that I thought it was going to be. However, he is out of pain now.

This is a photo of the day I brought him home...back in 1998. My sister Mary was the first one to meet him.

I'm going to miss him romping around in the back yard.

And sitting on the bed upstairs watching squirrels in the tree's

 He has been the best dog anyone could ever want. I'm going to miss that little guy...

I am so sorry for your loss! Dogs really are best friends, there when you need them and they always let you vent! As Chris had said..take comfort in the fact he is in a better place and out of pain.

Chris, thanks for stopping in on my blog today. He was a cute pup!

Lennar- So true. No matter what my mood, no matter how bad a day. He had a way of just doing something funny or just sitting by me on the sofa or at my feet as I typed. I'm going to miss that.

Peggy, I'm so sorry for your loss!  We lost our oldest cat a couple months ago and I'm still not over it, you know they're in a better place but MISS them!  I think this is a Dr Suess quote - "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" ~
