Home Buyers Imagine For a Minute That You Were a Home Seller

Let's play a little game.   Come on now stay with me.  Home buyers, imagine for just a moment or 2 that you're a homeowner with a home on the market.

Your agent has called you to schedule an appointment.  You've scurried to make sure the home is in tiptop shape.  You've packed the kids up including your 3 month old and the dog.  But where will you go with kids and dog in tow for the next two hours?

You drive around for a while.  Heck gas is only $4.00 a gallon and the kids and the dog are hungry so you stop at Mickey's D's for 3 Happy Meals and a burger for Fluffy.

You get back home and later in the day, you contact your agent for feedback and this is what you get:

Your agent says the showing agent says that the buyers loved the house but right now they are just looking.

Or the selling agent says that the buyers haven't been pre-qualified yet.

Shhhhhhhhh!  Watch your language, the kids and the neighbors will hear you.

Oh now you get it.  It's all coming to you now!  You'd be pretty pissed off if you were a seller and an agent booted you, the kids and the dog out of the house for a couple of hours, burned gas and spent money you did't have, while the "so-called" buyers were Just shopping, but not buying anything. 

Thinking about buying a house?  Get pre-qualified or better yet get pre-approved and don't start looking until you're ready to buy.
