Moving

After living at the beach for almost twelve years, we decided to move to Rock Hill, South Carolina to be closer to our families. With Jesse's recent heart attack, we realized just how important families are and we wanted to spend more time with them.

Earlier in our life, we had moved every few years, so we had managed to keep clutter to a minimum. After living in the same house for so long, we were totally amazed at the amount of stuff, we had managed to accumulate. We made at least ten trips to the Salvation Army and the dump. Also, the earlier moves had been corporate where the company was picking up the tab, so they sent in a crew to pack everything and unpack at the new location. This time to save money, we opted to do this ourselves. What a chore! At least, we have a good idea of what clients experience with a move.

Jesse - Best wishes to you both for much health and happiness in your new home. You bring up a very good point... Moving IS a huge chore. If it were easy, we'd be closing deals daily.  LOL!!

Jesse- I hope that your health is on the mend.  Take care of yourself.  It sounds like your life has in some ways mimicked mmy husband's and mine.  We've moved 5 or 6 times and were lucky to have them corporate moves.  And, as you know, it's a heck of a lot easier when someone else is paying for it.  However, we had to pay for our most recent move and trust me, when you know you're paying for every pound you move, you start editing and shedding all of the things that you've accumulated over the years.

Best of luck to you in your new home and stay healthy.  PS you're right about family.
