Thankful Thursday. More than Cousins!
When I was a young girl my cousin, Diana Lee & I lived with my Grandmother. Dinny (that's pronounced with a long i) were more like sisters than cousins and did everything together. I remember telling the man at the corner drugstore we were twins. In spite of the fact that Dinny was 5 years older and about a foot taller than me we really thought he believed us!
Now, many (and no I won't tell you exactly how many!) years later I watch my Granddaughters, Rachel & Zoe, acting more like sisters than cousins. They are a year apart in age and it's finally starting to make a difference to Rachel that Zoe is younger and not as "mature" as her 9 year old self. They fight like sisters, play like friends and love like family. And I am ever so Thankful for them.
