I found treasure at the Belroy in Seattle

I am a leasing professional with Riverstone Residential group. I was lucky enough to get acquainted with the Belroy as my first "normal" property.

The Belroy is a 1930 William Bain building in Capitol Hill, WA. Originally it was a hotel, so all of the hallways have room service boxes outside of each apartment. THe Belroy

I had this one apartment E31, absolutely beautiful! Bay window, hardwood floors, sunset views of the Cascade Mountains, the Space Needle, and South Lake Union. Yet, for some reason I had to show it to about 10 different people and every time I showed this apartment the back door just would not open, I pulled and wiggled, and jerked to no avail.

Of course, the time the door opened I rented the place! At last! Right?

When I went back to show them the "room service" box, I opened it to find an untouched advertisement from Best's Apparel, A Granger Tobacco can, and a green depression glass vase from 1940! To say the lease as a second hand store junkie I was ecstatic!

THe Belroy

I love the Belroy, I no longer work there but I know it is being taken care of and will be absolutely beautiful when the renovations are finished in Spring of 2012.

Check out all the wonderful art going on during Mad Homes brought to you by MadArt LLC. July 16- Aug 18.

I got a sneak peek of all the art and it is AMAZING!
