Submitting offers to the bank after the buyer has paid for the inspection - despicable.

I called the buyers agent to follow up on an inspection.  He told me that they were in the middle of negotiations and the bank got a higher offer and dropped them.  I am no expert and I am going only on second hand knowledge.  It seems to me that both the listing realtor and the bank should be in hot water after they had a signed agreement and the buyer had already paid me for the inspection.Home

I was talking to another client this morning.  She said that the listing agent for the home she is waiting for some paper pusher at Fannie May to file paper work on told her that the agent that submitted the offer when one was already underway should be sued for doing that.

What is everyone's opinion on this?

I would assume there is no way there was an executed contract in place when they ordered the inspection.  Otherwise, legal actions could be taken.  My guess is there was some confusion somewhere along the way and there was no fully executed contract.  However, I could be very wrong.  Either way, it sounds like a very shady situation and makes me hate working with the banks even more on foreclosures and short sales!! I hope all is well for you out in AZ.
