What are some of the most important reason for using video to sale land? I will discuss reasons for using video and more to the point YouTube videos for selling your land and just why now is the perfect time to get started and get busy trying to gain control of video sales in your area.

First I will give you some staggering facts which will give you some of my reasoning behind using YouTube to market your land. More video is uploaded to YouTube in a 60 day period than the three major U.S. television networks created in 60 years. As of February 2011, YouTube has 490 million unique users worldwide per month. YouTube users rack up an estimated 92 billion page views each month. We spend around 2.9 billion hours on YouTube in a month — over 325,000 years. And those stats are just for the main YouTube website — they don’t incorporate embedded videos or video watched on mobile devices. YouTube says that on average there are more than 400 tweets per minute containing a YouTube link. On Facebook over 150 years worth of YouTube videos are watched every single day. Less than one month after its 5 birthday YouTube has announced that it has exceeded two billion video views per day. There is more than 24 hours worth of video uploaded every minute to the site. 94 of Advertising Age's top 100 advertisers run campaigns on YouTube. If all this is not reason enough to start using video here is one more little tidbit that should wake up even the most skeptical person out there, according to Google who we all know is the monster in online search says within 3-5 years over 80% of all online advertising will include some type of video.

You may be asking yourself how to I get started. Getting started with anything is always the hard part. Start your video campaign with goals like from now on all my new listings I will require at least one 60 second video as part of my listing information. Another goal should be to get video on at least 10% of your existing listings this will have you with video on all your listings in ten weeks.

It is not enough to just have a video of each land listing but the title, description and tags are equally important. Having a video will most certainly get you a better click through rate when a prospect is looking at your site or land listing platforms but if you want your listings searched by Google you need a good title. If you are a Alabama land Broker a good title for you would start with your state Alabama then include your city and your county followed by the type property you are selling (Land For Sale In Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Pickens County 30 Acres Pasture Land For Sale) Google will index your tile, then your description. Tags are another very important part of online searches with all the search engines. Tags help uncategorized blogs, images and advertisements get indexed into a relevant area to return a search result for a particular search. If someone is searching for Mississippi land in Pike County near the city of McComb some good tags would be, Mississippi, real estate, McComb, Pike, County, wooded, land and so on.

I can’t give you just one good reason to start using video there are just to many great reasons to get your video account full of good video content but here are a couple that should get you busy and concerned if you have not started. If you do a search and look at the video returns land Brokers just have not gotten the message yet, it appears almost every other business out there is advertising with video which is very cheap by the way but land people are just behind the times. If your area does not have many video returns yet take this as a great opportunity to get started and take control of your particular area and in many cases you may be able to control your entire state it can be done I own 100% of the first page on Google when you do a land search in Mississippi.

One last statistic 44% of YouTube users are 45 and older, who are your land buyers, it is not twenty something’s it is your  40 plus for the most part. Set goals and get started slow if that is all you can do but I urge you get started now before you get left behind and you can’t catch up.
