Real? Unfortunately yes. Butt Hole Road is located in South Yorkshire, England. And it's joined by many other interesting place names including Crapstone (Devon), Ugley (Essex), East Breast (Western Scotland) North Piddle (Worcestershire) and Spanker Lane (Derbyshire) :)

Stephen, Funny. We landed in England 5am a few years ago. With 6 sleep deprived family members we took the Underground into London. It was all I could do getting them to settle down when they kept on announcing this odd name as the next stop (can't remember...will need to call my kids, they will.) We had a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing the photo. A great place for sure and we can't wait to go back.
We have Little Hope road and Wannamassa Drive in our city. A client once told me that they never wanted to live on a street that they would have to spell every time they gave their address.
Ha ha! Too funny! There's also: Turkey Cock Lane in Colchester, Shoot Up Hill in Kilburn, and Bishop Butt Close in Orpington - all in England.
