Walk scores have become very important to some buyers, and good to get the word out.

With a city like Seattle, it is easy to understand.  Walking is so healthy and a delightful pastime.  We will often go downtown Santa Barbara.  It is always fun, and a joy.  A

Nice picture of the moon on the water Judi. Seattle is a nice town. I was surprised at the wide sidewalks and the abundance of coffee shops there...

Strolling along in seattle should be your title of this blog...  And then end with "wanna come?"

H Judi, I agree that Seattle is a walk friendly place.  All the downtown areas seem very people friendly.  It doesn't hurt that you are on the water as well.

Judi, Its the old chicken and egg story, does Seattle living encourage healthier behaviour, or do healtier people choose Seattle more often?

Hi Alexandra~ I do find that I walk so much more here than anywhere I've lived aside from Miami Beach many moons ago...

Hi Michael~ I really work at my full moon shots each month! They are improving. Thanks!

Hi Judy~ I do like my June full moon shots too! They turned out better than seven other months for some reason...Practice I guess!

Carol~ Why thank you! I want people to really get a sense of what we are about here in Seattle!

Chris~ I agree! It seems to be a bit of both. Given the opportunity to get out and see so much it is a coin toss!

Judi - Your pictures provide evidence of why Seattle's "walk score" is what it is.  I remember that area around the Public Market really well.  That old sepia photo in your comment just above is wonderful!

As usual, beautiful photos! My neighborhood does not have a very high walk score, but home buyers do have a lot of choice here in Richmond with areas such as The Fan.

Hope you have a lovely week!

Judi-I guess that's why your area rates well in the health category in the magazines. That's a great lifestyle.

Hi Myrl~ Walking has become my friend. I can hardly believe how little I use our car living downtown!

Hi Shannon~ Love your new summer picture! I lived in suburban neighborhoods for years in Arizona with community amenities, friendly neighbors, and of course, a pool! Now that the kids are grown and travel is a part of our lifestyle, I am really enjoying the low maintenance urban lifestyle!

Hi Wayne~ I enjoy Seattle every day! Even if I am wearing my jacket for evening walks! Love it!

Best regards,
