Putnam County Animal Shelter- don't you have room for a new friend?

What is not to love?

I am Facebook "friends" with the Putnam County Animal Shelter (the first home of my puppy Glen).

And I also have 4 other animal rescue fur babies living in my home.  Three cats and two dogs make up our family of pets.

Glen, Laney, Gabby, Skitty and Ittle Bitty. 

And every week when they post the photos of the residents of the Animal Shelter they pull at my heart strings and I wish I had room for more.  So I thought this week I would let other Eatonton and Putnam County residents know about the lovable adorable babies who need to be adopted into a forever family.

The Putnam County Animal Shelteris located at 107 Ridley Drive, Eatonton, GA (right next door to the Sheriff's Dept.  and you can call them for more information and their hours at 706-4853970.

Just look at their little faces... Don't you have room for a furry friend in your home?

If you don't have room in your family or home, please help financially or by donating a bag of food to our local Shelter.  If you live somewhere else... check out your local shelter and help however you can.

I brought home two kitties from an antique shop.  Cute as buttons....about six weeks old.  You know how those can make you weak in the knees.  Even an old codger like me.  Chief Cook said no way.  But, we found them a wonderful home.  Keep up the good work, Tammy!

As a family we have had 5 lovable pets from the pound. I can't physically do it anymore. But I do brong supplies there. You have just given me the idea to post the pictures of animals in immediate need of adoption. I will follow your example.

Oh, I know what you mean Tammy. Those kittens are just adorable too. Just like with the Machaceh Rescue Farm here in NC, we can still sponsor and support the great work and the difference that places like the Putnam County Animal Shelter and others make for these animals. Great post Tammy.

Ron- yup, I get told "no we can't have another one" a lot too.

Sharon & Bruce- They are so cute and there's so much you can do even if taking a pet into your home isn't possible.

Dawn- I was a confirmed "cat lady" until my husband got a little puppy and then promptly went out of town for a family emergency.  Now I love dogs and cats.

Maya- I was inspired by another post to do this one.

Carol- thanks for the inspiration.  I still love those goats you posted though.

Patricia- I know right?  I want to bring all of them home with me.

I  too want to bring them all home but fear I will become the woman they found in a Philly rowhouse with more than 100 feral cats. I hope these go to good homes. they are so cute.

Janice- It does seem hard to put limits on the number I bring home, but our balance seems to work pretty well right now. 

Gary- that is my hope as well.  Weekly in the newspaper they only run one photo and in black and white... that just doesn't do that pet justice.

Tammy - I too was a cat lady when hubby and I hooked up 15+yrs ago.  I had two kitties and he had two doggies.  I was concerned about how everyone would get along when hubby and I started living together and later married.  It all worked out well because you know what they say - cats rule and dogs, well you know what dogs do.
