Georgia Police Department Shuts Down Illegal Lemonade Stand

I do not know what to say. I am not sure that thhis was such a bad idea to shut it down. I worked in a restaurant and there are stringent requirements to everything and the health department would shut you down for not right temperature.

I do not know  if they were able to maintain required temperature in the kiosk. What if people get sick?

Virginia - common sense, decency and good judegment went the way of the dodo bird a long time ago only to be replaced by litigators, legislators, and law enforcement. Welcome to America the land of the free

Meanwhile, criminals are probably running amok through Midway, Georgia while the police chief is throwing his weight around.

It's amazing  how times have changed.  They were willing to work for their waterpark fun, that is to be commended.

    Cops in America are becoming less and less respected.   They hide behind trees with radar guns to give speeding tickets; they bust little kids for selling Lemonade.

One, the LO is an idiot. Not because I am sure there are ordinances against innocent appearing selling of food products, but the LO should have found a better way of handling this crime wave, so idiot.

That is an example of a government out of control.  Just stay out of our business.  Leave the kids alone.

Well, we can't have these youngsters believing in, and worse yet - practicing - free enterprise and entrepreneurship! That's so last century - don't they know we're in the era of "Hope and Change" now?

Next thing you know, these silly girls could get the notion that they don't need Government handouts, and that they can provide for themselves - and they might even grow up to be evil Capitalists, and Businesswomen, like Realtors. And, well, we just don't need any more of that crazy thinking!

It's about time these illegals got what's coming to them.  They should all be sent to their country of origin!  Hurray for the police state!

I'm so tired of this kind of thing - it's why the unemployment rate among 16-24 year olds is over 20%! 

By the way, the police chief should be laid prone and lemonade dripped slowly on his forehead until he comes to his senses.  I realize that's supposed to drive someone crazy, but in his case...

I bet that the Police Chief was in the middle.  He clearly has more things to do than this. But it isn't rational people that cause the problems.  I am sure you will find a liberal do gooder in there somewhere.
