PROPOSED 28th Amendment to the Constitution?

I received this in an email from one of my brothers the other day and finally had the time to read it recently in its entirety. There are several things about this email that struck a chord with me and yes, I knew many of these points prior to this day. You may have had this in your email at one point or another, but I had to share.

Many citizens of these United States of America have no idea that members of our own Congress can retire with the same pay after only one term, and they have specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed, while the majority of our citizens must live under those laws. The newest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. What???  How does this make any sense? We need change all right!.....

Whoever made the Proposal below should be applauded.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States".

The amendment makes perfect sense to everyday citizens.  But...... it makes no sense to politicians who are there only to feather their own nest.  Getting it passed would have very very little chance.
