Wyndham Lakes...Living Large and Loving IT

By
Real Estate Agent with Exit Realty Properties

The first time I drove on Wyndham Lakes, I was taken aback by the serene beauty of the lakes, trees, and the manicured footpath that set the stage for this little community home away from home.

Two years ago (2005), my realtor, who is now my broker was showing me different homes in the area of Coral Springs. I was new to the area, actually new to Florida at the time so I had no clue where I was. All I saw and appreciated (still do today) was lots of homes behind lakes that lined the winding road, with ducks just taking in the weather.  He told me it was called Wyndham Lakes and at that time, the entire area had been in existence for about 7 years.

When I got home that evening, I looked online at a lot of the homes and saw how different and how beautiful most of the homes were. It is like a little surburban city tucked away at the back end of Coral Springs. On one side of it, you have the Sawgrass Expressway(869) which is just minutes away from the Sawgrass Outlet mall, one of the most visited tourist attractions in South Florida and at the other side of it, you have the many businesses and residences of Coral Springs. The picture below shows you Wyndham Lakes, taken from the air. It is an Island unto itself. You must see to appreciate. We came, We saw, We bought and We stayed.

All the homes on Wyndham Lakes directly or indirectly are surrounded by beautiful man-made lakes. It is made up of about 10 communities each with its own home owners association, all behind electronic gates, some of which have guarded gates. Homes range anything from $300,000 to $1MM. Interestingly enough, the HOA dues at the end of each month is the cheapest I have ever seen. They range from $83 to $120. In addition to most homes with pools, some of the communities have community pools as well. The communities include Pelican Pointe, Pelican Isle, Baypointe, Grand Isle, The Island, The Enclave, Pelican Trail West, Pelican Trail East, Coventory Cove, Coventory Place, Addison Estates.

Wyndham Lakes forms a U-Shape which makes it very difficult to get lost. On one end of the road, you are on Coral Ridge drive and at the other end, flows into Westview drive. On the corner is Eagleridge Elementary school, an "A" Rated school. If you live in Wyndham Lakes and you have a 5+ year old, I am positive your child will attend Eagleridge or the Charter school around the corner both of which are exceptional in terms of education for your little ones.

As we get into the Fall months, just imagine taking a morning stroll in 70 degree weather on Wyndham Lakes at 7.00am. It is sheer bliss. On a typical saturday morning, it is not unusual to take a 1 our stroll or bike ride, meet a neighbour and later on that day, you are both drinking coffee at the Starbucks about 5 minutes down the road.

As a realtor, I make sure the other walkers and joggers get to know me. We stop and say hi, with dog wagging its tail and friendships are born. You can tell I really love Wyndham Lakes!! It's home and Home is Always where My Heart Is.

I have also noticed that most people who sell are not moving within Florida but they are going out of state and more than likely they would rather NOT live anywhere else whilst living in Florida.

Thinking about taking a tour of some Wyndham Lakes homes for sale? Why don't you call Afie @ 484.410.6569 or/and take a look at www.wyndhamlakeshomes.net. You can also email me for more information at afie@exitfloridahomes.com.
