Hi Pat, welcome to the RAIN, the water is fine.  I just want you to know that Active Rains provides a real estate professional's network to get to know other professionals and it also has a place to put blogs out to the consumer and general public.  The Active Rain Newbie group is a great place to start and get to know people and to test the waters.  I am fairly new myself here and it is great!  You will have many questions, so, ask away and read blogs.  Best Wishes!

Hi Pat, I 'm a newbie myself of just a few weeks but I really just started paying attention in the last 10 days or so and I am addicted!!!  I am in your same boat, three years in the business in a tough market, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Just talking lets it out.  My husband and children's eyes glaze over - my son (17) in particular just says, "uh-huh" when I talk about things that ultimately mean money coming in that will benefit him and all of us!  Short sighted!  It is good to have this outlet and information.  SW

Pat, if people make comment to you on a blog you comment on the blog, but if it is an email, you just email back.  You can do that from active rain (go to the person's profile and hit email button) or use your own email directly.  I hope this helps!
