Whats the best way to get traffic to my website.

By
Real Estate Agent with Island tradition Properties

Not long ago I had a website with Point2Agent.  I liked the site and all but it really wasn't working for me so I cancelled it.  I have since started a new site through my 21online account I have since I am with Century 21 Camelot Realty, INC.  I love this new site.  On the site itself I was able to automatically have all my office's listings under one of my tabs.  The site also includes an IDX link for our local MLS which was no extra charge.  On the Point2Agent they wanted $200.00 to put that on there.  Now all the listings in our MLS have my name on the bottom with my contact information.  That is awesome to me since it looks as if they are all my listings.  The listing brokerage is stated right above my name giving them their due credit but all inquiries would possibly be aimed at me.

I am not very good at websites however.  I am trying to get more traffic to my site but am unsure how.  What are some of the best ways I can do this, possibly for free!  I have signed up with a couple free sites promising to list my site with search engines but I want to have results as soon as I can.  Please help a fellow rainmaker with all the knowledge I know my fellow realtors have.  I have always been told that my own website is a very promising way to get ahead in this business.  You can visit my site at

MichaelJanikHomeSales.com          If you do check it out please give me some feedback and let me know if it is a good site and what changes I could make.  Thanks to all.

Are you doing any email marketing? Make sure you email everyone you know and tell them about your website. Then send out a montly newsletter to all your contacts (21online has one for free) with bold and prominent links to your site. I send out an email to 1300 contacts a month.

Your email signature (And yoru activerain signature) should both have links to your site.

Constantly remind all you contacts / friends / customers either on printed material or verbally do look at your website. Every little thing helps.

Looks like a great website.  I am using Point2Agent and have marginal results.  I am also considering changing.

I don't see a way to search all of MLS on your site., just your companie's listings. Customers don't care who the listing agent is, they care about the houses themselves.

IF you go on my agent listings link and click the top Brevard MLS link it has the entire MLS on there.

Try making it more prominent on your home page.

Also,  your active rain signature MUST have a link to your website! In fact anywhre you can placea link to your site is good, and you should do it!
