Although I have asked this question before, I want to give it another shot. Can anyone recommend a really really good sync option/program/service to sync Outlook 2007 between two or more computers. There seem to be a wide variety of options but before I put down the cash, I was hoping to get some reviews form any one who may have actually used said programs. It defies the imagination why Microsoft seems to go out of their way NOT to provide easy backup or sync options on one of the most ubiquitous e-mail and contact management programs on the planet!

geeze, past graphics, (I'm the artsy type)  I am clueless to the answer to your question.  I just hoped a comment might get you going-- even if it is lame!

I haven't sync's things from one computer to another, other than the ActiveSync I use to download e-mail and contact to my handheld.

I have had my tech guy make a mirror image of  one computer on another and it was very expensive. I purchased Acronis and was able to move everything including registry ( never done before to my knowledge) and made a mirror image. From one computer (Tablet PC) I moved it to a brand new clean hard drive to give a Tablet PC image and operating system on a notebook.

While this is not answering specifically your question , if you think through the process it is actually the same thing. Look up the Acronis software and see if it provides for you what you may need. It is new software program and my Tech person believe it allows for "almost miracles" in adaptability for one specific needs.

Check it out and let me know if that is useful for this process.

Huh!  James, I'm sorry I am of absolutely no use to you here but I did want to read the comments so I too, can learn.  Sometimes this stuff sounds like a foreign language to me.  I feel like I need to buy a vowel or something.  But I know the more I read, the more it starts to make sense.  Thanks for asking and helping this gal learn something new.

OK I am a bit slow but just in case someone else wants to know how I eventually solved this problem, I thought I would add these comments. I discovered that

Plaxo

has the answer. They have a free service which allows you easily sync Outlook  between two computers. I have used it and it works great. I am syncing on two separate computers using Vista Home Edition and Outlook 2007. It seems to be a great solution to my dilemma.

I'm not sure this will help you, but when I had an assistant I used a program called share o

It was really cool and inexpensive. The way it works is if I change something in my calender it would e-mail her computer and automatically place it in her calender.  Same with contacts, tasks, etc.  You could also create folders, like she had one 'lisa tasks' and I could schedule it on my computer and it would automatically update her tasks.

This could be a good option for you if you want to keep the data the same on the 2 computers, the only draw back is they both need to be online.  The software worked great, I never had any issues and the install was super easy.
