There is so much to see in the Craftsman House gallery & studios in downtown St Petersburg Florida that I had to write another blog post about it! The amazing art that is there just has to get out to the general public so people know where to head when in need of an amazing gift or to simply add an item of beauty to the home.
Located at 2955 Central Avenue in downtown St Petersburg Florida, I don't know how this treasure has remained an unknown location to me for so many years. Perhaps it is because I live in north Pinellas County and just don't get down to the center of St Petersburg often enough!
That is one mistake that is definitely going to change! It is well worth the 40 minute drive to get there when you see what awaits you!
And as you can see from these photos, not all of it is pottery - there is just SO MUCH to take in!
Naturally, I have a special fondness for pottery since it is something I have done for years. At one time I owned two kilns and even did raku pottery. It is such a grounding and healing experience. It brings you closer to Mother Earth!
Blown glass is something I have never done but I did once take a trip to the island of Murano in Italy to see the centuries old craft being demonstrated by the masters over there!
There is also lovely and unique jewelery for sale at the Craftsman House in St Petersburg!
Looks like this is what was left after they prepared a nice fish spread. Another piece that I thought of bringing home to Ronnie!
And these guys were just too whimsical to ignore. Down here so many people have plastic flamingos in their yard that these guys made me smile in appreciation!
By the time we left I was already talking about purchasing a nice block of clay at the St Petersburg Clay Factory and starting to do something I have always loved doing once again! Pottery is simply good for the soul!
