Atlantis landed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center this morning completing the 135th and final mission of the Space Shuttle Program. The Space Shuttle flights have come to a close after thirty years and the shuttle Atlantis will be placed on display as a museum showpiece.

This video reminds me of how far we have come, in so many ways, and how far we have yet to go. Our journeys of exploration will lead to places not even imagined, helping us better understand ourselves and the universe we live in. Best regards from Seattle...

Judi-We've learned a lot about space during the time of the manned missions. Not much changed about mankind on earth during the same period. Too bad, there have been lots of missed opportunities.

Judi, this really is the end of an era. It's hard to believe that 30 years have passed. It makes one wonder what mankind will accomplish in the next 30 years.

I can't believe the program has come to an end. What historical moments this program has created!

Hi Roy~ We are having cloudy, cool mornings with fog that burns of and creates a sunny afternoon that hits about seventy degrees.!

Hi Wayne~ We have learned alot about space! Although we aren't perfect, I feel we have evolved in many ways, and continue to progress. I think human rights, science, medicine, spirituality, philanthropic endeavors, have all improved. I am glass half full about the human experience. Of course this is one of those topics I avoid because it is so subject to debate!

Hi Malcolm~ I was reflecting on how time passes when I thought back to my first space shuttle experience, and imagining where we will advance to in the future as well. Many wonderful accomplishments to behold lie ahead!

Hi Shannon~ I find it almost sureal that the shuttles are headed to museums. It could make a fine science fiction movie starring Will Smith!

Have a fun weekend...
