A DocuSign of the Times...
Because the Times They Are A Changin'
Q. What do the 8-Track player, rotary dial phones, fax machines, and running all around town trying to catch up with clients to sign documents all have in common?
A. All these things are either now obsolete or are soon to be.
And, if you ask me, the last two in this list can't come soon enough for me.
Now don't get me wrong, all these things served us well in their time.
But, my friends, the times they are a changin'.
I have been using a digital signature program that, much like DocuSign is safe, secure, and was instrumental in keeping a recent closing of mine from being delayed... or quite possibly not happening at all.
I'll spare you all the boring details. But suffice it to say that the offer was written, accepted and sent to the closing attorney all from the office of a new home construction site using a laptop and an electronic signature application.
The problem arose when the buyers were hundreds of miles away and one additional addendum was needed just a few days before the closing.
Fortunately, and within minutes of being notified, I was able to generate the form and highlight where initials and signatures needed to go.
They were able to sign, initial and date everything in record time!
Total time elapsed: Less than 30 minutes! And, it would have been even sooner if my clients weren't driving down the highway when I called them.
Could this have ever happened as quickly using "yesterday's" technology?
I think not!
What's the moral of the story? It's really quite simple folks.
The money you're about to spend on new toner for your fax machine, and the money and time you'll be spending on gas trying to chase down your clients for signatures, is much better spent on a service like DocuSign (or some other electronic signature program).
Because remember, the times they are a changin' and this story is a DocuSign of the Times that are rapidly approaching.
