"Almost Alice - New Illustrations of Wonderland by Maggie Taylor" at the Cannon Art Gallery in Carlsbad

The newest exhibit at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery iin Carlsbad, the city-owned gallery, is wonderful.

"Almost Alice - New Illustrations of Wonderland by Maggie Taylor" is a whimsical, yet surreal pictorial of Lewis Carroll's classic Victorian tale of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and will surely delight adults and children alike. There are probably not too many who have not, at some point, read about Alice's adventures - probably multiple times - and this exhibit will take you on a fanciful journey back in time. You are sure to recognize many of the characters as you relive Alice's adventures in the gallery.

"Almost Alice" opened July 17th and will run through Sepmber 9th, 2011. Other events being held in conjuntion with the exhibit include the Family Open Studios Plus on August 20 (with performances by the California Ballet) and the film, "Alice in Wonderland,"
