Checking your Credit Report and Score

Know Your Credit Score!

Knowing your credit score before applying for a mortgage is very beneficial for you.  You can purchase your score directly from the credit bureaus without affecting your score.  This is ideal, in case there is an error and/or your score is much lower than you anticipated.  Checking before you apply gives you the opportunity to correct any issues you might have on your report.

Were you aware you can view your credit report from all three credit bureaus for free once a year?  Completely free, meaning no catches or monitoring programs to sign up for like you see on TV.  Go to to request your reports from Experian, Transunion and Equifax for free!  If you see any errors be sure to contact the credit bureau that has the error right away to correct the issue
