Friday Foto - How to whip up a batch of mashed potatoes

I normally like my mashed 'taters on a slightly "chunky" side.  I was recently making a batch for company we were having and wanted a more traditional creamier take on them.  So, I pulled out a little hand mixer I have as I didn't feel like carting out the giant KitchenAid mixer.  Well, I just wasn't getting the power I needed.

I asked dear hubby for some assistance.  I think I need to rehome his Makita to my kitchen.  ;-)

Thanks for the chuckle Karen.  Sometimes you just need to work with what you have.

Now there's an idea Karen. One less item you need to keep. And he's pretty smart! I'd say keep him around.

Karen, it made me think of when I used my Hack saw to help the boss cut through bones.  Worked well.

Tammy...do tell...French mashed 'taters?  :)

Morning John.  He's a keeper for sure!  Have a great day!

Hi Gwen!  In all honesty, I actually prefer the hand mashed method.  Again, I like a little "chunk" left.  Good pun!  lol

Morning Al.  Ya know what, I'm pretty sure hubby did something similar years ago.  I can't remember exactly but I know there have been other times power tools have graced the kitchen!  lol.  Hope you have a great day!
