Videos on YouTube?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Luxury

Some agents are showing their listed homes on YouTube. We are moving toward Podcasts, and considering YouTube videos.

If you are a Buyer, we would like to hear from you about videos. Do you like the idea, and would you use YouTube to research

a home purchase?

Not a good idea....

1)  NOBODY searches YouTube for real estate.

2)  The spam on YouTube is getting out of control.  Do you want your listing to have PORN sites listed below?

I wrote a blog post about this fairly recently......

Thank you Fred. That is pretty much what we thought, but a few folks at a DC seminar were hot on it, so we floated the idea out there.

I agree, there is not much control on You Tube. Part of the Wild West that makes the Internet's flavor. But, not something for our clients.

Hi

Youtube and other is great if you create videos that's optimized for Google search. I use it extensively to bring traffic to my blog. Google index these videos in a day and then list them in the top ten search results for a specific search term.

I agree that people may not find you on youtube but that's not the aim.

Regards

Johan

Johan... That's very true....   but you need to be sure to turn OFF comments, or you'll be spammed with porn sites within days, which does not look good to customers!

There are also other sites that Google indexes just as easily and quickly as YouTube....   MetaCafe.com, Google Video, Yahoo Video, Daily Motion, etc.
